Claudia Meyer is of German decent, born and raised in Namibia. She has done well to carve out a footprint in the South African Art Market. Working in acrylic and oil her sensuous and often humorous approach to everyday objects and situations makes her work sought after by both South African and overseas galleries.
The Namibian born artist’s subject matter and technique, has an earthiness to it that is very appealing. Her art gives a restful and homely atmosphere, reminding us of the days gone by.
Originally a ceramic artist, her pathway has subsequently led her through a series of numerous phases including sculpture teaching and interior designing.
Having been successfully featured in numerous group exhibitions all over South Africa, the demand for her work is growing rapidly.
